Day 24 & 25

We left Otter Island (not the official name) and paddled about 6 miles to Little Falls, MN. We paddled under some of the lowest bridges I’ve seen! I stood up and barely passed underneath.

The portage was easy but lengthy. A reporter for the Morrison County Record met me at the portage site and interviewed me. I’m interested in seeing the article when it prints!

After repacking the boats Scott and I paddled a couple of miles to Charles Lindbergh State Park to a canoe campsite.  So far we’ve been evicted twice because of reservations… Lol! That’s our fault for not calling ahead.  Currently we’re camped in the picnic area near the ranger station.  It’s the best they could do. We’re rolling out in the morning anyway.

Little Falls is a nice little town of about 7000 people. Has everything a thirsty and hungry paddler needs!
